Mortiz Wehrmann, GER

German artist Mortiz Wehrmann exhibited 'Alter Ego' as part of Longbridge Light Festival 2014. 'Alter Ego' is an installation between art and science that has to be entered in pairs. It uses light and a special glass to morph two peoples' bodies and images into one another.

The artist lives and works in Weimar, Germany and Paris, France. He studied media art at the Bauhaus University and the College of Fine Arts Sydney.

His conceptual work is nourished by a variety of media such as mixed media installation, photography and assembled objects. His research deals with double structures, mimetic objects and questions of physical, temporal and mediated self-location.
