Juneau Projects

Juneau Projects are creating an open workshop that will allow visitors to make badges, jewellery and small wearable artworks using laser cutting. The workshop will act as a research base, expanding the project to include tool kit. This will allow local people and schools to easily design their own objects using these techniques. They will also be researching the use of augmented reality to turn the badges into triggers for animations when viewed via a smartphone app.

Juneau Projects are Ben Sadler and Philip Duckworth. They have worked together since 2001and are based in Birmingham. Their work involves the use of a variety of media including painting, sculpture, music, animation and installation, often in collaborative and site specific ways. They have exhibited nationally and internationally with institutions such as PS1, New York; Eichigo-Tsumari Triennale, Japan; Tate Britain, London and Ikon Gallery, Brimingham.
